A Forgotten Soul

Chapter Two : New Friendship

          "Dipper and Mabel? Those are.....nice names. here, let me show you two to the village," Chara replied as Dipper and Mabel said their names and shook hands. They warily followed as Chara led them through the forest and eventually to a dirt path with a small village in sight. There were many statues as the village came closer into view.

            Dipper and Mabel gasped as they walked into the village. The grass was a beautiful bright green, the sky a deep but light blue, and the place was bustling with life and laughter. When they reached the center of the village, Chara turned around and put on a welcoming smile.

            "Welcome to our humble village, Dipper and Mabel! I truly hope you like it here!"

            "Are you crazy! It's-", Mabel started to say, but was cut off as a group of boys and girls approached the newcomers.

            "Oh. So, you've noticed that Flower Girl over here is crazy. Then, you don't mind me taking out the trash, don't you?", a blond-haired boy said to Mabel. Before Mabel could protest, the boy slammed Chara into the ground.

            "Hahahahaha! See, Chara? If you're "gods" really "cared about you", then would they come to your rescue? Ha! The gods are nothing but a old tale! You're living in a fantasy!", the boy proclaimed.

            But was he right?
